I am making my puffy heart tutorial on video free for viewing for a limited time.
If you have struggled with puffy heart instructions on paper, then this video was made for you.

Thank you for the puffy heart pattern. I have 3 granddaughters that LOVE jewelry, and wanted to make hearts for them. Also, thank you for the resource page in the “free part” of jewelry making professor… I found a GREAT and inexpensive website for swarovski crystal beads. I LOVE your info!
are you still sending out a wrtten pattern of the puffy heart, if so could i have one please.
thanks
terri
Okay, I am on my way…I hit a snag but went back & reviewed & am almost finished! What I have is lovely & I can’t wait until it is complete! Thanks for the clear steps & instructions.-ymv
I finally mastered the puffy heart! I have completed 3 and each is prettier than the one before,
. I am now experimenting with color, finishes of the crystals and bales. Thanks so much Eri for this video and for being a great teacher.—ymv
If you are sending written directions I would love to have one.I am having a hard time seeing some of the strings.Your designs are GREAT!Thanks so much for sharing with us.
I really like the Crystal Heart Pendant. I tried making with 6mm fire polished beads but it was difficult to following since the beads were different in shape. I had a hard time in the beginning. Sometimes it was hard to tell where to put the string when moving up to the next bead. I followed the video and tried making it five times. Finally on the sixth attemp, I used the 6mm crystals as in the video. It came out correctly. I didn’t quite get how to finish off so I did the best I could on my own. My vail is not quite centered properly; however the heart looks pretty. I looked at the video the seventh time and now the finishing makes more since.
This was pretty challenging for me since I’ve never done a complicated crossweave beading project before. I will make again and hopefully I will get the proper finishing done and get the beaded vail centered next time.
When a pattern calls for Monofilament string…I am always at a loss for what to purchase. That seems to be my biggest intimidation to jewelry making. I never know what to use. I’ve collected so many things but believe it or not have yet to make anything. I try reading online by searching but there is so much information that it literally boggles my mind. Any suggestions as to what I should buy for Monofilament string? Thank you all for your help…
Hi Cynthia,
It is not easy to find right sized monofilament string in the US.
What I use is Toho T-line #2 which has 0.24 diameter but it is very hard to find here. So we started offering at our website.
Here is the link:

Eri, After reading the post on monofilament, now I am wondering if I am using the correct string.I use fishing line & use the appropriate diameter for the bead size.Sometimes I use 2 mm. crystals.I have also used 3mm.& 4mm.Also, the fishing line lists a strength tested number in lbs.Is this okay? The designs seem to come out okay.I also glue with a dab of jeweler’s the final knot & weave in the ends.Is this recommended? Thanks for your advise.—y
Oops! Correction—I meant to type ‘jeweler’s glue’. It is clear, dries quickly & has a fine applicator tip.My worry is that it might cause the monofilament to deteriorate? Thanks again-y
You can use fishing line as monofilament string. You only need to use very fine strings when you make a weaving pattern with it. If you can find the 6lb one which is 0.25mm diameter that will be very close to Toho T-line #2 which is 0.24mm diameter . It is a good idea to use clear jewelry glue to secure the knot. I personaly like G-S Hypo Cement the best.
I knew I had posted a question about the monofilament but could not for the life of me find it! Thank you so much for replying back to me Eri. The strings and wire part of jewelry making is the most confusing for me and your answer at least helps me to start on a project now. Thank you again…and hope your doing well!
Dear Eri,
Thanks so much for the help and advice.I have learned so much from you and this site. With much appreciation-y

I saw part of the puffy heart tutorial on you tube and I thought it was very difficult, so I looked at another one by someone else and it was even MORE difficult…..I was so discouraged
Hi Leticia,
I am very happy to hear that you have successfuly made a Puffy Heart on your own!!
It was a big challenge for me when I first tried it so I came up with the idea of making video to help other fellow beaders.
This is the reason why I only supply videos not written tutorials for my videos.
Thank you.
Eri
I think Eri amazes us all. I have never seen anyone as good as her! Eri…thank you for the tip about fishing line also. I think I will first use the Toho as you suggested first and then try the other. I will definitely get the G-S Hypo Cement too…
