Peyote Patterns: Peyote Madness Bracelet

I have a wonderful new peyote pattern video class that I want to share with you.

The instructor is my good friend Andrea Mazzenga, the owner of Buttercup Beads bead store, and a wonderful teacher.

In this video she shows you how to make a very simple peyote beadwork bracelet design called Peyote Madness.

If you haven’t tried peyote before, this is a great video to start with because Andrea uses a flat even count peyote stitch which is the easiest peyote technique and is the basis for more complex techniques we will introduce in the future.

She uses beautiful colored size 11 and size 8 seed beads and creates a nice picot fringe that gives the bracelet a little pizazz.

She also shows how to sew on a button as well as some interesting ideas for embellishments.

Andrea wil be introducing more peyote videos as well as other videos in the future so please stay tuned!

Enjoy!

Welcome Andrea! I like your instructions, they are great and I can’t wait to see what you have in store for us. I have started with bead weaving and actually learned a few things from you with this video. I am eager to learn all the little tricks you have in store for us.
    Great Job!

I absolutely LOVE the peyote stitch and all of its variations! It was one of the very first beading stitches that I learned. Your video is very helpful, alot of very good tips that I’ve learned along the way but I sure wish I had this in the beginning!!! *smile*

I love this design. I’m a huge fan of “healthy” bold jewelry and I’ve done a flat peyote cuff bracelet before but the edging (picot) is absolutely beautiful! I didn’t think to finish off the bracelets edge that way!

    Great instruction!

Yours is the best tutorial on even Peyote that I have seen. I loved it. It is so inspiring. However, the video ended when you started demonstrating the closure, after double knotting and working your way to the middle end of the piece where the button would be placed. ( time – 28:55 ) I tried several times to go past this point, but it would NOT proceed past this point to the end of your video… 41:47! What is happening to the last part of your tutorial? I really want to see your technique for your closure. Thank you so much for your expertise on this method of beading.
