When you weave bead rings, it can be very frustrating if you get the ring size wrong and have to undo the work you have already done.
When you are working with beads and seed beads even if you use the exact same number of beads when creating the ring band section the ring size can still vary from one ring to the next.
The reason is that bead sizes, especially seed beads, vary slightly, and also how tight you make the weave wil also vary slightly for each ring.
Before you finish the ring there is a great tool you can use to check to make sure you got the ring size right.
It’s called a ring stick.
In this video I show you how to use one.
One recommendation that I mention in the video is to get a wooden ring stick instead of a metal one.
I find that the metal ones can sometimes scratch your beads.
