Free Beading Pattern on Video: Snowflake Pendant

Well, it is the time of year for giving, so I was wondering what I could give as a present to everyone and about two seconds later, the snowflake pendant video popped into my head!

I love this design and it’s perfect for the winter season, and a great design to create as a gift for someone.

You can use many different types of swarovski crystal beads to create very different looking snowflakes.

My personal favorite is using AB crystals so that you get more of a sparkling effect.

I am only going to keep the video up in the free beading patterns section until December 31 this year, so be sure to hurry over and master the pattern while you have time.

Once you’ve tried it I would be grateful if you could let me know how you liked it.

I finished making you Snowflake pendant last night. I loved making it. It turned out great. I wish I had seen the 2 sided colors before I started. They are beautiful. That will be my choice for next one. Thank you for the free video.

I came upon your tutorial on Christmas Eve night. I was working the late shift at a clinic that I work at, had a few minutes while on break and what a treat…I loved learning how to make the snowflake—so small, so delicate, so sparkly! I have shared it with family and friends who delight at its beauty! A few days after proudly learning how to make the snowflake, an incident happened to me to cast a sadness over my holiday. I was stalked from a bank parking lot, followed and robbed. The loss I suffered has been devastating…but I returned to my beadwork, and this web-site, to console and comfort myself. There is just something so healing about beads. Thanks so much for sharing the tutorial. It was a pleasure to learn something new. Blessings in the New Year!

    Dear yvalenci,

I am so sorry to hear about what happened to you. That is absolutely awful and I hope you are recovering from what must have been a terrifying ordeal. I will keep you in my prayers.

Hi Eri, Thanks so much for your response…prayers are always welcome. I really love this web-site and the tutorials. I am interested in paying the annual fee for a year of $99.00 but when I hit the ‘continue’ button where the charges appear, the charge for $99.00 appears twice and then it totals to $198.00 for one year of access. Am I doing something wrong or is the 2nd $99.00 a price for something else that I must pay for in addition to the 1st $99.00 for a year’s membership? Thanks for the help—YMV

  9. Eri Attebery says:

    YMV,

Thank you very much and I’m glad you are finding the website useful for your beading.

For the shopping cart I’m not sure why that is happening but if you restart your computer and start from the beginning it should clear out of your internet browser. The annual fee is $99 so if our cart does end up charging you $198 I will immediately refund the other $99.

    Thanks!
    Eri

I can’t wait to finish-up here at work and have some time to give it a try tonight…thanks so much for teaching and inspiring others! This is a wonderful opportunity, :)

  12. Debbie M. says:

Hello…just a quick question..can you use fireline for this design, or does the monofiliment line make it stiffer?

  13. Eri says:

    Hi Debbie.

I haven’t tried it with fireline, but my guess is that it will not work as well because fireline doesn’t have the tension that monofilament string has. If you try the fireline and it looks OK please let me know.

    Thanks!
    Eri

  14. Joyce Gooden says:

  15. Pat Richards says:

Yes I agree with Joyce. I missed the snowflake pattern & it looks so cute. Thankyou

  16. ym valenciano says:

Hi Pat & Joyce, writing from Houston where we don’t see much snow!I am proud to say I was able to master the pattern of the snowflake & afterwards, couldn’t stop myself—I made them in so many colors, sizes, etc. I made one for myself in blues/silver/purples (believe it or not, it worked in this combo) & a mother of one of my students was having a bad day, rough times & I took it off & gave it to her to lift her spirits. I made them as gifts for colleagues & family. Their comments include—’beautiful’, ‘elegant’ & ‘WOW’.I hope you are able to make a snowflake of your own & share them with someone, soon.

  17. Pat Richards says:

Thanks for that I am sure they make beautiful little gifts. Keep up the good work.

  18. Karen says:

I would like to purchase the snowflake lesson but can’t find it on your website. Was it only offered for free in December? Is there any way to get the lesson now?

  19. Shirl says:

    Hi Eri,

I love your website the patterns are absolutely beautiful. Will you be bringing back the snowflake tutorial? I wold love to see it again.
